In “Your Health, Your Way: Personalizing Wellness for Women,” specialists from Hemophilia Treatment Centers across the country and Lived Experience Experts discussed the many facets of women’s health and managing unique challenges faced by women with bleeding disorders. The panel addressed topics including nutrition, dietary supplements, fitness, physical therapy, and menstrual care. Experts also highlighted organizational tips and techniques, including tracking apps, planners, graphic organizers, and resources from the NBDF, as foundations for the documentation of symptoms and increased self-awareness around needs for treatment.
Response: Red Ink
- Exploring the different elements of women’s healthcare underscored the absence of intersectional care at many Hemophilia Treatment Centers, as well as the broader healthcare system of the United States.
- By fostering open discussion and collaborating with various types of medical and holistic professionals, Red Ink will work to empower women and girls through self-awareness.
