In “Women with Hemophilia, Now is Your Time,” Dr. Shveta Gupta, a hematologist at the Pediatric Hematology and Oncology clinic at Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Children’s hospital, spoke about the unique struggles women face in the bleeding disorders community. Both Dr. Gupta and a patient representative from NovoNordisk discussed the difficulty of working with barriers to diagnosis, as well as the reality of changing Hemophilia Treatment Centers in order to receive appropriate treatment and comprehensive care.
