Summary:
In “Washington Insider: A Federal Policy Update” attendees were briefed on federal policy issues and initiatives the National Bleeding Disorders Foundation is working to address. Government relations specialists and healthcare public policy specialists discussed the impact of proposed legislation from the past two Congresses, such as HR 830/SB 1375, the HELP Copays Act, which is currently being debated in committee on Capitol Hill. Representatives from NBDF also covered what advancements they’re working to make happen through legislation and government partnership, as well as what areas of healthcare legislation are the most effective to target based on the current political landscape.

- My experience with advocacy and storytelling contributed to my decision to establish Red Ink, and will be continue to be a driving force in our work going forward.
